Creating a Pinterest Account

  • Go to pinterest.com
  • Input email address
  • Create a password
  • Click Continue
  • On the next pop up, click Continue as a business
  • The email & password will carry over to the new popup
  • In the business name field input your business name
  • In the scroll down menu for Select a business type and choose a business type that fits best
  • In the website field, input your website
  • Click Create account
  • Next you will be instructed to Like 5 topics from the list provided – Choose 5 topics that are closely related to your business
  • Click Done
  • The next pop up will ask if you want the Pinterest browser button, click Skip
  • They will then ask if you are sure you want to skip, click Skip
  • In the top right hand corner, there will be a red circle that has a pin inside, click that icon
  • In the drop down menu that appears, click My profile
  • Click the Pencil Icon that is in above the business name
  • If the Business name field doesn’t automatically fill, input the business name
  • Upload a profile picture, the image should be 160×165
  • Type a short about for the About Us field – Only include basic info (who, what, where)
  • Input the location of the business, if applicable
  • Click Save Settings
