The Alabama Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (ALAPTA) is a statewide professional organization representing almost 700 members who are physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students.

Alabama Physical Rehabilitation Service was established in 1979 by Jerry Klug, P.T. Jerry started APRS to fill the need for quality physical therapy services in area schools and for home bound individuals.
