WideNet is a small website development company located in the Golden Springs Business District of Anniston, AL. Our core services are related to website development and custom programming. We also offer other graphic design services. The majority of our clients are located within central Alabama. Those clients include a diverse set of mostly smaller nonprofits, businesses, and government groups in Alabama, as well as in 14 other states and DC.  We are on an active, but balanced growth plan. This includes fostering a fast-paced teamwork environment that is both fulfilling with achievable goals and fun with supportive co-workers. Our company was founded 5 and a half years ago and has received 2 national awards as well as a number of local awards and accolades. We are involved in our community and support worthy local causes.

We are seeking a junior web developer competent in PHP, preferably with at least 1 year of active development experience. Some experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and MySQL is a must.  The job candidate must have a good attitude, be customer service oriented, enjoy working in a fast paced environment with multiple projects in process, enjoy taking relevant initiative, be respectful of company directives, and posses a dedicated work ethic. Acceptance of a limited non-compete agreement for WideNet's core services will be required if the job is offered and accepted, upon hiring.  We hope to find a candidate who fits well with our company culture, is creative, loves coming to work, works well with others, enjoys customer service, and has an interest in growing with our company as we continue to stay on a relatively fast growth plan. This is an entry-level position.

• Integrating WideNet's Custom CMS Into Websites
  • Each website is already broken apart into HTML by our designer, however adjustments will likely need to be made to fit the code.
  • Integrating our control panel into each custom layout and design.
  • Customizing the pre-configured snippets of code to fit each site
  • Testing and cross browser verification of code
• Making updates to existing websites and code as needed.
• Providing client support
  • This includes our WideNet Control Panel Support
  • Outlook and email support
  • Other questions as asked by clients that are reasonable in nature.  Though we are a website design firm, we often are asked questions about anything computer related and we are always willing to assist our customers if we have the ability and it is infrequent.

• Periodic custom coding projects
• Being one of the backups on answering incoming phone calls
• Periodically assisting at trade shows or other events
• Other duties as assigned

• Candidates must work in the Anniston, AL office.
